Curator Greg Robinson creates a huge summer salad of diverse artists exploring the question âIs there still a Northwest School?,â based on the legendary 1953 LIFE magazine article on Mark Tobey, Kenneth Callahan, Guy Anderson and Morris Graves. They shared a reverence for nature, the influence of Asian art, a search for spirituality and a muted palette. Robinson responds to the question with a vigorous âYes!â by featuring 20 living artists, including Jite Agbro, Lanny Bergner, Lisa Gilley and Naoko Morisawa.
